Sri Lanka’s rich history as a coffee producer, combined with its favorable geography and high-altitude central highlands, is paving the way for a resurgence in Arabica farming.
Our Estate too was part of Sri Lankas coffee history, being part of a huge coffee plantation in late 1800’s. However following a huge coffee blight, most of our regions coffee including the majority of our plantation was uprooted and replaced with Coconut. However some parts survive today, being mainly of the Robusta variety.
As the 3rd generation here, we have now begun a new Arabica section to complement and give our estate blend something really unique. Sri Lankan up country coffee is special in many ways, and its taste profile too is unique with a fruity, sweet and spicy flavour. Our coffee is all about quality and being single origin. Never ever your average morning pick me up, but a experience to be savored and remembered fondly.
